The Republicans are counting on the voters to still have a short memory this election year. If you don't know where you have been, how can you know where you are going to?

1. They don't want you to remember that Republicans were the ones who crashed the economy.
2. They don't want you to remember that Republicans started two wars that we are still paying for.
3. They don't want you to remember that bank bailouts (TARP) happened on their watch.

That would be an undeniable example of the President looking out for the people.

Consumers have had a good relationship with credit card companies over the past few decades. Though it was ideally to benefit card companies, consumers were able to make purchases they couldn't have made without it.Credit card companies became lax, though. In the end, it will be up to the consumer to get the market rolling at full-steam once again. Though family lending and alternative credit sources, like payday loans, have proven as more resilient and reliable options than credit cards, but they'll hopefully change their ways.

Hi all, long time, eh?

I saw Al Gore on Rachel Maddow's MSNBC show last night (I got my cable reconnected after going for 2 months without - but that's another story). The interview was in 2 short segments. By now Gore is so comfortable with all the usual questions, even the tough ones, like the ones about his one-time running-mate, whose name I won't mention.

Anyone else see it? What did ya think?

Why are all the politicians avoiding the trade policies that have crushed the American manufacturing industry? This is a question I often ask myself and wonder why this issue is not part of a broad economic reform package that makes America competitive again.

In China, workers generally have a minimum wage of $0.70 per hour. Besides this, there are much fewer regulations for businesses. How can America compete when ten Chinese workers can be hired for each American.

It's time to address these failed trade policies.

Payday loans are touted as a useful financial product for middle-class households that just need a little help making ends meet in the short term. But critics have long held that the costly short-term loans burn a hole in those households' finances, which can immediately necessitate another loan, and another, and another, trapping the borrower in a cycle of debt.

Since conservative orthodoxy has turned out to be voodoo economics after all, now would be an excellent time to unmask its demonization of labor unions as yet another con job that big business has pulled on the American people.

The other day I saw a story on the news of people pawning their valuable because the banks won't extend them or their businesses any credit. The pawn shop has now become America's lender of last resort. One man stated that half of his construction business's tools and equipment had now been pawned. This is an outrage! During the same news broadcast there was another story. The headline was that while the wall street banks were asking the government for a bailout they were giving their top executives millions of dollars in bonuses. Bonuses?

The day will come when a 'Green' transportation Company will become the norm. For now our group's mission is to promote green business practices one step at a time. Starting point was EnviroRide, where we use only hybrid and clean diesel cars to transport customers.
