I saw Al Gore on Rachel Maddow's MSNBC show last night (I got my cable reconnected after going for 2 months without - but that's another story). The interview was in 2 short segments. By now Gore is so comfortable with all the usual questions, even the tough ones, like the ones about his one-time running-mate, whose name I won't mention.
Anyone else see it? What did ya think?

Political Chess: Sacrificing Pieces (Blue Dogs)
Posted August 18th, 2009 by BLACK CELLSacrificing pieces is common in a chess game; most players sacrifice pieces for many reasons. For example, some players will sacrifice their queen by doing what I call, "Swapping queens." That is when a player sacrifices his or her queen to remove the other players queen off the board.
Lets say that I am playing an opponent that is extremely good at playing with his or her queen, It would make sense for me to sacrifice my queen by swapping pieces when I believe I can win the game without my valuable piece, & my opponent can't. The same logic is true for chess pieces of lesser value.
