Where Have All The Leaders Gone?

Just in case you did not see this discussion when it went around in the Spring, here is what Lee Iacocca has to say:

Only Iraq Vet ( My Congressman too ) to endorse Obama...

Just saw this on The Huffington Post...

The guy is looking to get re-elected. Now I don't think he has done a heck of a lot but
he shouldn't be coming out this early...yet.

Bucks County Democrats are known as environmentalists. In fact not just the Democrats either. We have a long history of support of enviromentally friendly movements and local politicos including county commissioners are always supporting

My Thoughts on the AFL-CIO Democratic Debate August 7, 2007

I watched the Democratic AFL-CIO debate held in Chicago last night. Overall, it was a good debate, I just think we don't learn that much about the candidates in the debate format. All we really learn about them is who is the best debater or orator.

IT IS TIME FOR A PRESIDENT WITH INTEGRITY

We hear it everyday – it's time for a Woman President, it's time for a Black President, it's time for a Latino President, it's time for a Mormon President.

None of those issues above concern me. What I am interested in is a President with INTEGRITY and who has the capability to understand complex issues.

Smile Now, Cry Latter

"The interesting thing that transpired over the weekend was Romney willingly taking the low road, like I said they would, in order to tell a joke. While our military is suppose to be perusing Osama Ben Forgotten, most repugs, including the President, are comfortable with others taking the lead at pursuing the man that orchestrated the Sept.11th attacks on the World Trade Center."

As I look at the field

I am new at this, but want to give a little input regarding my reasons for wanting Gore, vs any of the other good candidates. Obama is fresh, new, articulate and smart. What he is not is experienced. This is one of those times when I would feel more comfortable with a broader range of leadership experience and deep international experience. Richardson is experienced, but does not come across well on T.V. or in the forums/debates. Too bad. He might be quite good. Dodd is clearly a good guy, but he does not stand out and his experience is entirely in Congress.

Tax on Sales is fundamentally regressive as well . . .

The "Fair Tax" of FairTax.org is fundamentally regressive and does not allocate the tax burden proportionally according to the benefit of the social, governmental and political order. A flat tax simply on wealth, does. I ask the question as follows:
If you eliminate all taxes and fees to government in exchange for an annual tax of 2% of your net worth, would you do it? The answer is a definite yes for anyone that can do math, unless you are very, very wealthy. The reason the very, very wealthy would not make the trade is because they pay far, far less in the current system.

The Middle Class Advocate supports radical change of tax system, to a Fair Tax System

I am so excited to see a draft Al Gore movement developing. He has shown he has courage, vision, and sophistication about issues.

Gore for VP

I understand if Gore does not want to run for President. I imagine the campaign and position would be very stressful and tiring. I do think Gore has many excellent ideas and most importantly, is a clear thinker. I'm proposing that Gore aligns with Obama and runs for VP. This could be a good compromise for Gore and might get him into the White House.

Al Gore and Barrack Obama

In a perfect world: Al Gore would be my next president, and Barrack Obama would be Gore's VPresident! Has anyone else thought of that?
