On Thursday June 28th, ABC7 News will be attending our Draft Gore meeting. We want as many of us as possible to be there. Can you join us? The meeting will take place at Tangier Restaurant (2138 Hillhurst Avenue just south of Los Feliz blvd) on Thursday (June 28th) at 7:30pm.
Al Gore has said in a recent interview, “I respect the political process with all its flaws, and I am under no illusions that the presidency is not the most important position with the most ability to influence the course of events, but I've run twice and I don't think that my aptitude for politics is necessarily matched to the kind of politics that the system calls for in this day and time. Maybe that will change. Maybe the transformation of this conversation of democracy with more influence for reason and less for image and spin will emerge. I don't know.”
This is our chance to make a statement. If you truly want him to run, please make it a point to join us. As he says in his new book, “This is a moral moment…It’s up to us to seize it.”
