The Palm Beach County Draft AG Gore Group

The Palm Beach County Draft Al Gore Group is almost 60 people strong. There are 8 people who signed up at meetup.com who need to contact me to be added to our emailing list which is my personal list. Many do not like to sign up in cyberspace.

We are no longer holding meetings but we are doing the following:

1. wearing green shirts and buttons at all local meetings, democratic groups and others
2. writing to Al Gore asking him to please run for President
3. obtaining petition signatures
4. writing letters to editors expressing our thoughts about an Al Gore candidacy

We have thousands of supporters in Palm Beach County because for each of the 60 members and the hundreds of petition signers we believe there are possibly 10 other names for each that we have...that makes thousands of supporters ready to jump on the Al Gore bandwagon.

Do not hesitate to contact me in Boynton Beach if you have further questions.

Palm Beach County Draft Al Gore Group - 3rd Planning Meetup -

The Palm Beach County Draft Al Gore Group is now 47 members strong. For every member who signed up we find that there are at least 5 others who don't like to sign up but support our efforts. Our third meet-up was very successful. We have volunteers attending Democratic Club meetings and other meetings to obtain petitions signatures, we have volunteers researching Florida's delegate selection process for 2008, we have volunteers researching partnering with bookstores and having Gore tables to help sell "The Assault on Reason" and promote Al Gore for President.

New Re-elect Al page

in

Just saw this on the ticker at GMail. Apparently a new site, promoting Al Gore w/ Hillary as VP..

People are starting to take notice, and I think that Gore is too. I do not think that he can in good conscience refuse the call.

More talk of Gore and his hopeful run for office. http://www.commondreams.org/archive/2007/06/29/2177/

Gaining Momentum

It is wonderful to see the groundswell of support that this movement is acquiring. The average number of guests on this site alone has better than doubled in the last couple months, and now news sites all over the net are picking up the ball, with overwhelmingly positive responses from their respective viewers. The article someone put up yesterday from the Huffington post had 5 pages of comments, almost exclusively positive for Gore. This article from Commondreams.org is very compelling and well worth the read.

26 years and at last..

I was sitting in my sixth grade classroom in middle america when I first heard the phrase 'global warming'. It was a growing concern at the time and my teacher at the time made a point of making us understand what the, then, theory was. Growing up in a midwest, ultra conservative family, the concerns that I brought home were scoffed at. Soon thereafter, Reagan took office and with the assurance of 'experts' in the government, the theory was trod into the ground, and fairly effectively eradicated from the media.
