like cheney...haha...

what a complete idiot...that has to be the stupidest comment I've heard since jr's last commyent...ask the greedy blastard if he tehinks less mmoney is a good idea...gooed grief!...rI'm continuallty amazed at how ignorant people xcan be...for every action, there is a re-eaction...now think about 250 years of bad actions in that small membbrane of surrounding the planet...do you really think there won't be a re-action?...a very negative re-action?...damnit...i really hate to see the human race go in such a way...but the greed, ignorance and (did I mention GREED?)..we're done....it's a losing battle...it's just too profitable to kill everything...and somehow, these greedy bastards think their money can rotect them from 'whatever may come'...I was really hbhoping Gore was hlding out for his run at the office...but we are screwed...no question about it...we are completely screwed...and I can't apologize to my kids for this one...But I'm still Sorry...that the human race is so completely ignorant....

great interview

Happy, happy birthday to Al, wherever he is. He does not look 60. He does look great.

Tipper too, goodness.

A terrific interview.

But, how many will it take? How many speeches, while the minority try to say, he's a lone soul, solo, so low, and not what he is, a voice for the many, the most of us? And at some level, for all of us, for none of us truly want to die the way we will, if we don't get on board and work for change! I was thrilled to read of the ten million strong volunteer movement he has spearheaded now, too (http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2008/apr/01/climatechange.usa), and hope that within that number we reach and surpass whatever '100th monkey', x factor, mysterious point that may prove the solution to our crisis on Earth - that we will as individuals realize collectively something, that we may not survive let alone evolve anymore, if we do not take care of one another, play steward to Earth and her creatures like God asks, and love our enemies, let alone our neighbors. There's got to be a change in consciousness...maybe this will help. I think it will. I know it will. Altruism has got to be a part of capitalism, or it will kill us - for evolution requires symbiosis amongst creatures, and so we must stop being so selfish, or there'll be no selves left on Earth to save.

I can't say I'm very hopeful.

But I do have more faith, when I see Mr Gore, as in this moving interview. It's just got to be uncool to be so stingy we don't care about our planet, or say, I'm only one person, what can I do but eat drink and be merry, for tomorrow, we die? I think we should eat drink and be merry, and vote for Gore in 2012, but that's another story. Meanwhile we have all this time to kill...maybe there's something to do meanwhile. I look forward to more instructions as to how to effect political change. I don't wanna getta gun...:-/

President Gore Continues Bold Initiative
President Gore arose today rested and hopeful, proclaiming in an early rose garden speech. “The world has turned the first of many corners”. He cited the standing ovation he received yesterday at the United Nations, and the resulting worldwide positive comments on his continued pledge to lift the planet from the burden of fossil fuels.

“The United States will continue its policy of investing in the future?.

“I pledge another trillion dollars for research. We have already created a million new Green jobs in America and by establishing this worldwide fund we hope to bring every nation, including those emerging from poverty, support so they may leap into the twenty-first century with the rest of us. This will bring world peace, save the ozone layer, and restore the proper balance to our beautiful planet. No longer must we worry that our great port cities will be flooded by the end of the century. I know, there will be some who will be reluctant to throw away those old chimneys, reluctant to give up their oil revenues, reluctant to move forward. But this must be done for America and the world.”

Chris Mathews, said “This is the President we wanted. This bold move reminds us of our great presidents of the past.”

There has been some Republican grumbling, in the house and senate, about the “enormous waste”...the deficit spending of a trillion dollars on hope and the factories of the future. “But, there are so few of them left in congress that this does not matter”, said Ted Kennedy.

The CEO of Exxon, Robert Bundle, said “The oilmen will not stand for this”. However polls show the nation is behind the President.

Said Chris Mathews. "Why wouldn’t the people be behind him. We live in a time of prosperity, peace and bold new change, and Bundle, he’s a dinosaur”.

On a sad footnote, George W Bush died last night of cirrhosis of the liver, brought on by his return to alcoholism after his loss to Gore in the 2000 election. Reports are few but it is said he died in his own juices, choking on his own saliva, bundled up and trapped in some brush. His father, former president George Bush senior, said “the family mourns... Poor Georgie, he could never measure up.”

The service for the former Texas governor will be private. “He will be put to rest in the Texas dirt he loved”
